In North America and other affluent parts of the world, we've gotten used to calling ourselves "consumers". Although we may have to consume to survive, it doesn't fully define who we are and, in fact, it denotes a real lack of responsibility. So, we're giving all show-goers the opportunity to learn about everything from "do-it-yourself" home renovation, decor, organization, and energy-efficiency tips to ground-breaking green development projects and green living ideas to build community and maintain & improve our current and future high standard of living in central Alberta!
Select 2008 Show Exhibitors and Central Alberta Community Organizations will offer one or more 45-minute seminar sessions scheduled throughout Friday afternoon, and Saturday and Sunday mornings of the Red Deer Home Show on the Northwest Motors Stage. View the schedule.
To keep the Show fresh and invigorated we’ve added a Green Homes Tour over the course of the Home Show weekend so you can visit Built Green and EQuilibrium homes in Central Alberta - known per capita as the most “built green” community in Canada! View the list of homes & addresses.
Brand new for 2008 is the Central Alberta Farm & Acreage Show - a joint project of the Canadian Home Builders Association - Central Alberta, the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce, Westerner Park and Kennedy Communication Services Ltd. The Farm & Acreage Show is in the AgriCentre and one admission gets you into both shows. Two great shows, one great price!
